Koh Pich’s Elysée Tower was illuminated in pink this weekend while offering free breast cancer screenings for women as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The screenings, organised by Intercare Hospital and supported by OCIC, Sovannaphum Life, Canadia Bank, Sabay, and Sastra Film App Cambodia, offered women a convenient opportunity for early detection, emphasising proactive health care.

The visual statement of the pink lighting hoped to encourage more people to raise awareness of early detection practices, further highlighting the importance of breast cancer prevention. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide, underscoring the need for regular screenings and proactive health measures.

“Awareness and early screenings play a crucial role in the fight against breast cancer,” said Dr. Demosthenes Reyes of Intercare Hospital. “Encouraging our community to take these steps can make a real difference.”
