Workshop on Legal Drafting Held Jointly By SERC, TR, and IRC
On December 24, 2024, the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), Trust Regulator (TR), Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) and CamEd Business School co-organised the Workshop on “Legal Drafting” at the Business Development Centre in Phnom Penh.
The workshop was held with the support of Stronghold Trustee Co.,Ltd to raise awareness about the procedures and techniques for writing legal articles among the leaders and officials of the SERC, TR, and IRC. The primary objective was to equip participants with the necessary skills to produce precise, accurate and comprehensive legal articles which improve the efficiency of their daily work.
The Legal Drafting session was presided over by H.E. SOU Socheat, Delegate of the Royal Government in Charge as Director General of the SERC, H.E. SOK Dara, Director General of the TR, H.E. BOU Chanphirou, Director General of the IRC and Dr. PRUM Virak, Chairman, Board of Trustees, CamEd Business School. Dr. PRUM Virak - who delivered a presentation to the attendees.
In this workshop, an emphasis was placed on “Drafting good quality and effective legal documents do not only require a combination of legal theory and direct practice but must also respond to the revolution of the sector, as well as reflect with economic and social trends and align with the mission, role and duties of each organisation which clearly addressing their needs, objectives, benefits and impacts.”
In attendance, were the management and officials of the SERC, TR and IRC, with 101 participants in total.
