Wing Bank Awards 0.5 Kg Gold Bar To Its Latest Winner
Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc has marked the conclusion of the third season of its ‘Gold Bar Race’ by awarding a 0.5 kg gold bar to its winner at a ceremony held at Wing Bank Tower.
The winner, Sao Piseth, a long-time customer from Phnom Penh, became the first individual to collect 15,000 Wingpoints through the Wing Bank App, securing his place as the latest recipient of the 0.5 kg gold bar. Season 3 of the Gold Bar Race wrapped up in November 2024.
"I have been using Wing Bank for over 10 years and have always found their services reliable and convenient," said Piseth. "The Gold Bar Race was an exciting challenge, and winning the gold bar feels like a true reward for my loyalty. It’s a memorable experience and a reflection of my trust in Wing Bank."
Piseth – who said he relies on Wing Bank’s services for everything from transferring money to his family in his hometown, to making bill payments – was inspired by the success of the first gold bar winner, awarded in October 2024.
Motivated by this win, Piseth actively collected Wingpoints through his daily transactions, including payments for meals with his family, and shopping on Wingmall.
The Gold Bar Race was launched to educate customers about Wing Bank’s rewards program and increase engagement with the bank’s mobile app. Wingpoints are earned through a variety of activities, such as making payments via Wing KHQR, shopping on Wingmall, and completing other transactions within the Wing Bank App.
The points can then be redeemed for a vast array of over 100,000 products, from electronics and home appliances to food and beverages, all available on Wingmall.
“We are committed to shaping a future where digital finance is not only accessible but also rewarding,” said Avinash David Bannerjee, Customer Value Management Director of Wing Bank. “The Gold Bar Race exemplifies the strength of our ecosystem, where every transaction contributes to our customers’ financial growth in meaningful ways.”
As Cambodia continues to embrace a digital-first economy, Wing Bank remains at the forefront of providing innovative and accessible financial solutions.
"We are proud to be a leader in driving financial inclusion, rewarding experiences, and advancing the adoption of cashless transactions across the Kingdom,” added Avinash David Bannerjee.
Wing Bank continues to offer its customers new ways to engage with digital finance, fostering a more inclusive and tech-driven financial landscape in Cambodia.
