Will Shangri-La Phnom Penh Hotel Officially Open Its Doors In Cambodia In 2024?
The announcement of the Shangri-La Phnom Penh hotel goes back a decade in the media, with the announcement of the luxury hotel first being announced in 2014 when Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd signed an agreement with a local developer to manage its brand’s first hotel in Phnom Penh.
The latest updates suggest the hotel group will make its full debut in the Cambodian capital before the end of 2024, with the hotel set to be its 107th property globally, and the Phnom Penh hotel currently in a prolonged pre-opening phase. The capital has seen several new hotels open and more are on the way, with ongoing long-term positive views of the country and Phmom Penh for investment and growth opportunities. The potential opening of the hotel even made Forbes' "Top 9 Exciting New Hotels Coming To Asia In 2024" list.
