ABA Bank, Cambodia's largest commercial bank, has been named Best Bank in Cambodia by the international Euromoney magazine for the twelfth consecutive year.

This prestigious award recognises the Bank's continued excellence and leadership in both physical and digital banking, reinforcing its role as a benchmark in the Cambodian and regional financial landscape.

Digital innovation driving growth

With a strong focus on innovation, accessibility, and customer-centricity, ABA Bank's digital platforms have seen significant growth. The ABA Mobile app experienced a remarkable 32 per cent increase in users within the year, providing them with seamless 24/7 access to their accounts.

Major enhancements to ABA Mobile, such as Navi – Virtual Banking Assistant, FacePass Secure, and In-App Chat, were developed not just for convenience and security, but also to help combat fraud, including scams on messenger apps.

The ABA Merchant app also saw a 30 per cent increase in active users, supporting businesses with tools for generating QR codes, sending payment links, managing refunds, and generating transaction reports – all of which promote the broader adoption of cashless payments in Cambodia.

Meanwhile, the ABA Business online banking platform continues to empower businesses of all sizes with features like bulk payments, payroll, and collection tools. These capabilities, along with strong security, have led to a 24 per cent increase in business users, reflecting growing confidence among entrepreneurs and enterprises of different sizes.

Askhat Azhikhanov, Chief Executive Officer at ABA Bank, commented, "We are proud that our digital solutions have become an integral part of our customers' financial lives. The recognition from Euromoney affirms the trust they place in us. In return, we remain committed to delivering modern and convenient banking needs."

Peek into ABA's CSR initiatives

Beyond convenient banking, the Euromoney panel also praised ABA's meaningful contributions to education, healthcare, and community development, reflecting its deeper commitment to Cambodian society.

In the education sector, ABA expanded its school renovation program, improving infrastructure at Sok An Thnol Bombek High School in Takeo and two Muslim school buildings in Kampong Chhnang. These renovations provide students with safer and healthier learning environments.

The bank also continues its support of the Cambodia Children's Fund, contributing to the Primary Education Program that enables underprivileged children to access quality education.

On the healthcare front, ABA extended its support through donations to the Cambodian Red Cross, TYDA Association, and Japan Heart, a medical NGO offering free healthcare to children through its newly established center.

Trusted name in Cambodian banking

Commenting on ABA's recognition, Euromoney editors stated, "As a dominant force in Cambodia's banking sector, ABA Bank has made strides in digital innovation, solid financial performance, and active community engagement. This has justifiably earned ABA the title of Cambodia's Best Bank."

Winning this esteemed award for twelve consecutive years highlights the trust and confidence placed in ABA Bank by millions of customers. With eyes on the future, the bank remains committed to delivering secure, innovative, and impactful banking solutions for all Cambodians.
