Plaza Premium Group Celebrates Grand Opening of Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Techo International Airport

Plaza Premium Group (PPG), the global leader in airport hospitality, has officially launched its Plaza Premium First (PPF) and Plaza Premium Lounge (PPL) at the newly inaugurated Techo International Airport (KTI) in Phnom Penh on November 10, 2025.

The grand opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce; H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia; Dr. Lim Lina, Vice Chairperson of Canadia Group; Okhna Charles Vann, CEO of Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC); Neak Oknha Ly Kunthai, Chairman and Founder of Alpha Group Co., Ltd.; Oknha Tan Khee Meng, President of the Malaysian Business Chamber in Cambodia; and Datuk Wira Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group, alongside other distinguished guests and members of the media.

The launch comes at a pivotal time for Cambodia’s tourism and aviation sectors. In the first half of 2025, Phnom Penh welcomed over 1.5 million international visitors, marking a 30 per cent year-on-year increase, as the Kingdom continues to strengthen its position as a growing hub for regional leisure and business travel.

Strategically located within the Techo International Airport, one of Southeast Asia’s most advanced and eco-efficient aviation gateways designed by Foster + Partners, both lounges enhance Cambodia’s airport infrastructure and create a strong first impression for travellers arriving in the country.

Guests and dignitaries at the event were among the first to experience the Plaza Premium First Phnom Penh — Cambodia’s first of its kind. The 110-seat lounge combines elegance and tradition, drawing inspiration from Khmer artistry that reflects the nation’s timeless beauty and craftsmanship. The space features curated artworks, including contributions by renowned designer and sustainability advocate Bill Bensley, as well as private VIP rooms and massage services designed to provide travellers with a serene retreat, led by Plaza Premium First ambassadors known for their warmth and personalised care.

At the opening, H.E. Cham Nimul said that the launch of Techo International Airport represents a defining milestone in Cambodia’s national infrastructure development and a bold symbol of the Kingdom’s readiness to embrace new opportunities on the global stage.
