Phillip Bank Hosts Exclusive Art & Culture Evening

Phnom Penh, 20 May 2025: Phillip Bank, the only Singaporean-owned commercial bank in Cambodia, hosted an exclusive cultural evening for its priority customers at its newly-concepted Norodom Branch—reimagining traditional banking through the lens of art, comfort, and connection.
Following the official opening of the Norodom Branch in April, the invitation-only networking event, namely “Perspectives: A Singaporean Lens on Cambodia,” brought a multisensory experience that reflected the bank’s vision of merging finance with culture.
Designed especially for Phillip Bank’s valued priority clients, the event highlighted the bank’s commitment to delivering an elevated priority banking experience. This experience reflects not only what was showcased during the event, but also what Phillip Bank stands ready to provide as a trusted financial institution backed by a group with over 50 years of heritage and strength.
This private exhibition features the masterpiece of Joshua Chiang, a Singaporean artist living in Cambodia. His works offered guests an intimate artistic exploration of life in the Kingdom, bridging the Singaporean perspective with the Cambodian context.
“We designed Norodom Branch as a space where relationships can be nurtured, not rushed. Every corner of this branch, especially our meeting rooms, reflects our belief that banking should be a personal, thoughtful, and enriching experience,” said Raymond Chee, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Phillip Bank.

In partnership with Angkor Arts, the branch also features a rotating display of collectible Cambodian artwork, all available for acquisition. This collaboration supports local artists and encourages clients to engage with culture in an organic, everyday setting, turning banking into something unexpected and inspiring.
From custom-designed interiors and bespoke signature scents to premium refreshments served by well-trained hosts, every element is intentional. Clients are welcomed into a discreet environment where sensitive financial matters can be discussed with ease and confidence. The layout encourages relationship-building rather than transactional interactions, making it feel more like a private lounge than a bank.
The networking event was elevated by a live violin performance by an internationally acclaimed artist, alongside gourmet finger food curated by private chef Sokim Heng—a perfect embodiment of Phillip Bank’s dedication to taste, quality, and meaningful experience.
Through the Norodom branch, Phillip Bank is bringing Singaporean standards of excellence and trust to the Kingdom. The Norodom Branch is a clear manifestation of this commitment, offering clients not just financial services but a refined journey that values both privacy and personalisation.
