Minister Hem Vanndy Leads Delegation to Explore AI and Cloud Innovation in Beijing
Beijing, 18 November 2025 — H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), led a delegation to visit two of Huawei’s strategic technology partners—Capitalonline and Beijing Electronic Digital and Intelligence (BEDI)—as part of efforts to accelerate Cambodia’s technological transformation and deepen cooperation.
The visit centred on exploring cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, with a strong emphasis on opportunities for technology transfer to boost productivity, modernise systems, and enhance governance across both the public and private sectors in Cambodia.
During the visits, the delegation received briefings on advanced AI-driven data centres, cloud hosting services, and high-performance computing infrastructure supporting key sectors including e-commerce, education, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Both companies demonstrated next-generation capabilities of their AI Data Centres (AIDC)—ranging from large-scale model training to high-efficiency data processing—highlighting their potential to support industry growth, improve productivity, strengthen public service delivery, and drive innovation.
Minister Vanndy encouraged both companies to consider establishing operations in Cambodia and invited them to showcase their technological solutions at the 4th National STI Day in March 2026, particularly to help bring practical AI applications closer to Cambodian industries and communities.
