Metfone STARS Crowned Its Season One Content Creators Champion
Metfone, a leading telecommunication operator in Cambodia, concluded its first-ever Metfone STARS program on Sunday, 4th August 2024 with a grand finale held at AEON MALL SenSok City.
The event was powered by TikTok and aimed to find the inaugural Metfone STARS champion. A great crowd was in attendance to cheer on the finalists on the journey to find the first winner. vivo was a trusted partner as the durable smartphone brand served as the Device Sponsor.

Metfone STARS had begun with a massive pool of hopeful contenders and after an elimination process whittled down the thousands of candidates through a series of rigorous selection rounds, only 50 emerged to compete in the first round.
They were put through their paces and endured challenges to prove their worth. Finally, ten exceptional candidates were selected to compete in the grand finale, which was a LIVE Show.
The final stage tested the remaining ten competitors skills across three key areas:
- Creating a video showcasing Khmer culture
- Promoting Metfone telecommunications products
- Demonstrating their general knowledge through a question-and-answer session.
The judging process for the top 10 candidates was conducted with impartiality and by a panel of five judges. These included the main judges Mr. Rean Thort, Mr. Rainnie Dara, and Ms. Da Dao, alongside special committee members Ms. Mice, as well as honorary judge Mr. Ouk Chipphal, representing Metfone, who evaluated the video content based on quality, content, technique, and creativity.
The judges confirmed that the first season of Metfone STARS was 28-year-old Harry Boy, a Phnom Penh resident and a highly skilled Human Resource professional with a passion for video content creation. Known for his engaging work, Harry Boy consistently impressed the judges and garnered enthusiastic support from his fans.
Harry Boy's excitement and joy in being crowned the winner were clear to see as he celebrated his triumph in this inaugural season. He has encouraged aspiring content creators to work hard, hone their skills, and gain valuable experience emphasising that Metfone STARS serves as a nurturing platform, as it offers valuable training and experience to all participants, as it has for him. He urged other talented creators to apply for future seasons.
