Metfone Donates $120,000 To The Cambodian Red Cross
Commemorating the 161st anniversary of the establishment of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, Metfone has donated USD $100,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), and USD $20,000 to the Siem Reap branch of the CRC.
Faced with unpredictable challenges within global, regional, and domestic environments – including climate change, natural disasters, pandemics, and other conflicts – the CRC has been increasingly innovative and effective in its humanitarian activities. It has achieved significant results in assisting vulnerable groups within the community.
In order to accompany and support the CRC in its activities, as well as to provide additional funding for its humanitarian mission, Metfone announced in a press release that it has donated USD $100,000 to the CRC and USD $20,000 to its Siem Reap branch.
According to the release, this donation is part Metfone's annual commitment to social and community activities. Over the years, alongside its business activities, Metfone has been conscious of its social responsibilities and has actively participated and collaborated with the government and various organisations in volunteer activities and humanitarian programs, with the aim of contributing to community happiness and the further development of Cambodia.
Nhong Dinthan, Deputy CEO of Metfone, shared:
On this occasion, I would like to express our appreciation for the activities and accomplishments of the Red Cross in the past. Metfone believes and hopes to accompany the Red Cross in achieving its set goals, contributing to bringing life, faith, and happiness to those in need within the community.
