Martin Darby Appointed As BritCham Cambodia's Executive Director

BritCham Cambodia (British Chamber of Commerce of Cambodia) has announced the appointment of Martin Darby as its new Executive Director, which they said followed an “exhaustive search spanning multiple countries and many outstanding candidates from across the globe.”

Darby was formerly the Managing Director of EFG Cambodia from 2019-2024, a well-known company within RMA Cambodia, and oversaw operations in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. Their portfolio includes brands such as Coffee Club, Dairy Queen, Krispy Kreme, The Pizza Company and Tous Les Jours.

The British Chamber of Commerce of Cambodia was founded in 1995 and was officially registered as a Chamber of Commerce with the Cambodian government. The Chamber is also a founding member of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham Cambodia).

BritCham Cambodia says Darby has a “standout background in business strategy” and “extensive experience in leadership roles positions him well to drive the growth mission of BritCham.”

From his own LinkedIn profile, Darby claims to be an experienced, Asia-focused, strategic, and hands-on operator, leader, and team player with a track record of driving significant change programs, business transformations, startups (including technology and e-commerce), and turnarounds across multiple sectors.

The sectors he has worked in include F&B retail franchising, telecommunications, education, edutainment licensing, and wellness. He has also specialised in “assisting with private equity investments, franchising, fundraising, new brand and market launches, and high EBITDA multiple PE exits.”

BritCham Cambodia added that in his role as Executive Director,  he will “enhance the Chamber's Member engagement, fostering a collaborative business environment and strengthening ties between the UK and Cambodia. His strategic vision and commitment to excellence are expected to add significant value to BritCham, its strategic partners, and member organisations.”
