Lotus Academy Launches Cambodia’s First No-Code Tech Workshops for Aspiring Digital Creators
Hands-on Summer Workshops to Empower Learners with Practical Skills - No Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Lotus Academy is kicking off an exciting new era of digital learning in Cambodia with the launch of its No Code Summer Workshop Series — a bold initiative designed to equip learners with real-world tech skills without writing a single line of code.

From building smart chatbots and 3D games to automating tasks and analyzing big data, these hands-on workshops are designed for beginners, non-tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone eager to upskill in today’s fast-changing digital economy.

“Coding is so 2020,” says Andy Ng, CEO of Lotus Academy. “The future belongs to no-code creators. We’re launching these workshops so learners from all backgrounds can upskill, unlock the power of tech, and make an impact—without needing a computer science degree. This is about opening doors and making technology truly inclusive.”

The No Code Summer Workshop Series features six short courses introducing learners to the most in-demand areas of modern technology:

  • No Code Big Data Analysis – Process and visualise datasets with drag-and-drop tools.
  • Automate Tasks Without Coding – Boost productivity with smart, automated workflows.
  • Build Smart Chatbots – Create interactive chatbots for websites, apps, and messaging platforms.
  • Scrape Website Data Without Code – Extract and analyze online data and content easily.
  • 3D Game Development Using PlayCanvas – Build interactive browser-based 3D games.
  • Build a Website Without Coding – Launch a sleek, functional website with zero programming.

Each workshop blends essential theory with hands-on application, allowing participants to experiment with professional-grade platforms widely used in industry. By the end of each course, learners will have built working prototypes or solutions they can showcase—no prior coding experience required.

The courses are led by a distinguished team of educators and researchers from top institutions including the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT). Among the trainers:

  • Dr. Rothna Pec – PhD in Mobile Engineering and system design expert.
  • Dr. Sothea Has – PhD in Applied Mathematics and AI researcher.
  • Dr. Sokkhey Phauk – PhD in Data Science, Head of Data Science at ITC.
  • Dr. Cheab Sovuthy – PhD, Dean of School of Digital Engineering at CADT and senior IEEE member.

Together, they bring a blend of academic rigor and practical insight to guide learners through accessible, meaningful projects in data science, automation, AI, game design, and web development.

“Many people are intimidated by tech because they think it requires deep coding expertise,” said Andy Ng. “Our goal is to remove that barrier. With no-code tools, anyone can build useful, real-world solutions. These workshops are about empowerment—giving people the confidence and skills to participate in the digital economy.”

Courses will be held in-person at Lotus Academy’s Phnom Penh campus. Each workshop spans several sessions and includes guided instruction, project-based learning, and a certificate issued by Lotus Academy, recognized by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), upon completion.

Each workshop is priced at USD 500 (no VAT). An early bird discount (10 per cent) is available for participants who register by 6 June 2025, bringing the course fee down to USD 450. Learners who enroll in three or more workshops, or register as a group of three or more friends, are eligible for a special rate of USD 400 per course—offering savings of over USD 300 for bundle or group participation.
