On November 8, 2024, Kep Music City, under the Art for Kep project, was launched at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal. The project seeks to highlight Kep as a cultural and sustainable travel destination in Cambodia.

Kep Music City will bring vibrant music performances, with dynamic DJ performances every Friday night, followed by live music every Saturday evening, and brunch every Sunday, at participating venues including Kep West, Kep Natural, Tara Lodge, Saravoan Lodge, Raingsey Bungalows and more.

Jef Moons, who conceived the Art for Kep project, shared his vision of making Kep an artistic and musical hub of Cambodia, where aspiring artists can shine and audiences can enjoy memorable experiences.

“We are committed to creating a lively atmosphere where music harmonises with the exceptional culinary offerings and natural beauty of Kep and its cultural heritage,” he stated.

“Our weekend programs are designed to promote cultural exchange, attract visitors and provide good reason to explore the beauty of Kep,” added Moons.

Watch Jef Moons discuss the Kep Music City initiative:

Marc Cholleton, Artistic Director of Kep Music City, expressed, "Throughout the high season, we will blend traditional Khmer music with international styles, ensuring that all visitors to Kep find something they love. This is the inaugural year of Kep Music City, and we hope our success will pave the way for many years to come."

The Kep Music City project officially kicked off on November 9, with singer and brand ambassador Nov Dana and her band performing at Kep West.

Stay tuned for more announcements on Kep Music City's upcoming artist lineup and exclusive events, working to make Kep the heartbeat of Cambodia’s vibrant music scene.
