FUSAAC Successfully Hosts Major & Career Fair 2025

The Fulbright and Undergraduate State Alumni Association of Cambodia (FUSAAC) successfully hosted the Major & Career Fair 2025, one of Cambodia’s most impactful education and career flagship events, at the ITC Conference Hall, Phnom Penh, on September 13, 2025.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by Sou Jolyda, President of FUSAAC; the keynote remarks by Katherine Diop, Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy; and the opening remarks by H.E. Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, First Lady of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The event also saw the distinguished participation of H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training; H.E. Keo Rottanak, Minister of Mines and Energy; other Excellencies; and representatives of partners and sponsoring companies.
The annual event attracted a total of 2,700 participants, including high school students, university freshmen, educators, professionals, and alumni from various institutions in Cambodia.
In her welcoming speech, Sou Jolyda highlighted the fair as Cambodia’s largest platform for students to explore education and career opportunities. She expressed pride in hosting H.E. Dr Pich Chanmony’s historic participation, noted the significance of the 75th anniversary of Cambodia–U.S. diplomatic relations, and thanked sponsors, partners, and volunteers for supporting an event that empowers Cambodian youth and inspires a brighter future.
U.S. Embassy Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Katherine Diop emphasised the deep relationship between the United States and Cambodia and celebrated the accomplishments of Cambodian alumni who studied in the U.S. and contributed to their home country’s development. She also discussed the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help shape Cambodia’s future job market.
During her speech, H.E. Dr. Pich Chanmony reflected on the limited access to information during her youth in contrast to today’s digital landscape, where students can access knowledge from anywhere in the world. She expressed pride in Cambodian youth for creating their own apps and even robots, which she had previously thought were only possible in other countries.
The First Lady further urged students to grasp every opportunity available to them, as they are the backbone of the nation. In closing, she emphasised the importance of digital transformation to enhance services for citizens’ daily lives and for the nation’s progress, before officially opening the event.

This year’s fair featured 38 interactive booths for participants to engage with top Cambodian universities, career talk shows, workshops, and panel discussions led by inspiring professionals and mentors across various sectors such as technology, business, public services, and more. The fair also provided opportunities for students to directly interact with and gain insights from 45 speakers to support their academic and career decisions.
“There is always a trade-off between hesitation and success,” said Heng Vanputbandith, Executive Director of CAM-ASEAN.
Casey Barnett, MBA, FCCA, CFA, and President of CamEd Business School, added: “We are dedicated to excellence in teaching and innovation, equipping our students with the skills and resilience to excel as leaders in accounting, audit, tax, and finance.”
The fair’s success underscores the growing demand among Cambodian students for guidance as they explore higher education and an evolving job market. The Major & Career Fair 2025 stands as another accomplishment for FUSAAC in its mission to ensure Cambodian youth are well equipped for future national development.
The FUSAAC team extends its gratitude to the fair's Diamond Sponsors, CAM-ASEAN and CamEd Business School; Bronze Sponsor, American University of Phnom Penh; and in-kind sponsors, Canadia Bank, Grab (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., and Vital Premium Water, thanking them for their invaluable support.
