Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB) officially launched its 23rd branch in Kampot on January 20, 2025, to bring financial services closer to customers.

The grand opening ceremony was held in Kampot Province and was presided over by H.E. Khiev Rithyphoin, Deputy Governor of Kampot Province, representative of H.E. Dr. Mao Thonin, Governor of Kampot Province; Lim Phoumary, Branch Manager of Kampot National Bank of Cambodia, representative of H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia; H.E. Gui Anvanith, the Chairman of the BoD of FTB; and Dith Sochal, Chief Executive Officer of FTB. Members of FTB executive management, employees and customers were also in attendance.

The new branch opens from Monday to Friday (8 AM to 4 PM) and Saturday mornings (8 AM to 11:30 AM) and is located near Samaki Market on Road 712, Corner of 701, Krong Kampot, Kampot province. With a comfortable banking hall and a spacious parking lot, customers will receive a variety of financial services, including savings and loan services, local and international fund transfer services, mobile and online banking services, trade financing services, bill payments to NSSF, all types of tax payment services to the General Department of Taxation and General Department of Customs and Excise, and more.

At the grand opening ceremony, H.E. Khiev Rithyphoin stated, “Our country has made significant advancements across all sectors. This morning, FTB Bank inaugurated a new branch, a testament to the country's political stability, under the roof of peace and the wise leadership and long-term vision of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.”

Lim Phoumary also added, “Over the years, the banking and financial sector in Cambodia has made remarkable progress. Under the wise and far-sighted leadership of H.E. Dr. Chea Serey Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, the sector has played a significant role in helping to promote and support the economy and trade.” 

He continued:

The opening of FTB Bank's new branch in Kampot province today will facilitate Cambodian people in accessing necessary financial solutions for their daily financial needs and foster the growth and prosperity of local businesses.

H.E. Gui Anvanith further highlighted, “The launch of the Kampot branch marks a significant milestone in the market where FTB Bank has a role to play in bringing high-quality and highly efficient financial services to our customers, enabling them to enhance their lives and businesses.” 

He added:

The Board of Directors and Executive Management are committed to enhancing governance and service quality, thereby instilling greater confidence in our customers and regulators.

Dith Sochal also stated, “FTB’s new branch presence will provide a new and better option for customers at Kampot Market. As of December 2024, the Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia has total assets of over USD 2.2 billion. Based on our strong foundation and history, FTB will continue to support customers to grow and prosper further under our long-term vision to become the preferred commercial bank in the Kingdom of Cambodia.”

The grand opening ceremony also featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the Kampot Branch.
