French Chamber Of Commerce In Cambodia Announces New Board Of Directors

The French-Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFC) held its Ordinary General Assembly (OGA) on February 13, 2024, at the Institut Français du Cambodge (IFC). The event brought together more than 80 members of the CCIFC to review events and accounts of the past year and to announce the results of the recent elections for the chamber's new Board of Directors.

Jacques Pellet, French Ambassador to Cambodia, and Emmanuel Ly-Batallan, the Head of the French Embassy's Economic Section, were also present at the OGA. 

Elections for the CCIFC's new Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 period saw a participation rate of 95 per cent, according to a press release issued by the CCIFC. Members ultimately elected 11 candidates out of 17 in the running. 

The CCIFC's new Board of Directors is composed as follows: 

  • President: Cyril GIROT 
  • Vice-President: Sarah LUBEIGT 
  • Secretary-General: Cindy NGUYEN 
  • Deputy Secretary-General: Sylvain UNG 
  • Treasurer: Edouard BELLO 
  • Deputy Treasurer: N.VAN Dara 
  • ASEAN Referral Administrator: Julie KEO 
  • Administrator: Vaizoue HUYNH 
  • Administrator: Pascal CATRY 
  • Administrator: Sophorn CHHAY 
  • Administrator: Antoine FONTAINE 

Cyril Girot, CEO and Director General of Cambodia Airports, succeeds Soreasmey Ke Bin, Founder and CEO of Confluences, who completed two consecutive terms of office. Girot was already an active member of the last Board, previously acting as Vice-Chairman of the CCIFC. 

The press release affirms that he intends to maintain a strong line of action to serve and benefit the French and Cambodian business communities. Through his involvement, the new CCIFC President intends to take advantage of this impetus to continue taking strong action to boost trade between France and Cambodia.
