EuroCham Announces New 2025 Board of Directors and Executive Committee

The European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Cambodia held its annual general meeting (AGM) on March 27, 2025, in hybrid online-offline format at the Topaz Norodom, where the chamber announced the results of its Board of Directors (BOD) elections.
The new board subsequently held an internal Executive Committee vote to decide upon roles such as the new Chair, Vice-Chairs, Treasurer and Secretary General, and announced those results at the AGM Meet & Mix held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
The AGM, was attended by 108 members, either online or by proxy, and featured a review of EuroCham’s past year milestones from outgoing Chair, Tassilo Brinzer, who also shared his reflections on his four-year tenure. Activity, finance and audit reports were also delivered by Executive Director, Martin Brisson; Finance Coordinator, Chenda Chhum; and External Auditor, Ng Yee Zent.
According to EuroCham, 129 voters submitted their ballots for the chamber’s 2025 BOD election, accounting for 59 per cent of EuroCham’s ordinary members.

New Face of EuroCham Cambodia’s Leadership
The evening AGM Meet & Mix was attended by over 250 EuroCham members and partners at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra’s newly renovated Glass House.
Officially introducing the Executive Committee and BOD, Brinzer noted that this is the most diverse BOD EuroCham has had in its history, including a range of different nationalities, business backgrounds and three women.
Speaking with B2B Cambodia about the main goals he wishes to achieve as the new Chair of EuroCham, Faja explained that he will first need to spend some time familiarising himself with the chamber and all its various chapters and activities, to ensure that the core agenda that’s already in motion continues to move forward without a hitch.
“Obviously I have to fill some very big shoes of the outgoing chairman… The core agenda is European-business centric, and there are seven national chapters in EuroCham, so my job is to try to work in tandem between all of them and make sure that we look at the overall European picture,” said Faja.

Reflecting more specifically on his ongoing experience as the Chair of ItaCham, representing Italian businesses, Faja shared that he has seen a lot of growing interest over the past four or five months from Italian architecture and construction businesses, as well as in other sectors like healthcare, technology, manufacturing and food and beverage (F&B).
“Italy is famous for having quite a large breadth of business offerings… from automotives to fashion to design to culture, there's many angles,” he said.
“There are now three [board members in EuroCham] that are Italian, and that also shows that Italy is a major player, and perhaps was underrepresented in Cambodia up until recently… Italy, yes, is famous for restaurants, but Italy also has industries far and above that as well… and we'll be looking to bring some of these companies in, and now that we have more Italian representation on the board, that should be easier and perhaps faster,” Faja concluded.
