CSX Announces One Month Of 'Zero Commissions On All Stock Purchases'
In a move to empower investors and enhance market accessibility during the 2024 dividend distribution season, the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) has announced the “Zero Commissions on All Stock Purchases” initiative.
According to a press release issued by the exchange, from May 27 to June 28, 2024, investors can purchase any stocks listed on the CSX without incurring any fees, through any brokerage firms that are CSX members.
This zero fee initiative coincides with the time of year when most stocks listed on the CSX are conducting annual dividend distributions, allowing investors to benefit from both zero transaction fees and the potential for dividend payouts.
The press release states that CSX aims to maximise the playing field and encourage broader participation in wealth creation through the stock market by offering this zero fee promotion, with the firm belief that everyone should have a chance to experience stock investment and benefit from stock market growth.
“With reduced barriers to entry, we anticipate increasing liquidity and trading volumes. Investors will have the flexibility to execute their trading strategies more productively, benefiting from a vibrant marketplace,” said the release.
“With rising investor participation during the promotion period, we also anticipate that the market is likely to experience handsome trading prices, enabling a great opportunity for investors to expect growth momentum in their portfolios,” the release added.
