CamTech Festival 2021

The Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology (CAFT) is hosting the CamTech Festival 2021 from November 8-12 and it will feature four key Cambodian cities. (Updated) The tech festival will be held in parallel with the World Fintech Festival week (and linked to the Singapore Fintech Festival) and is being organised in partnership with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and Cambodia Microfinance Association. The five-day CamTech Festival 2021 will be held online and offline and be broadcast in over 30 countries. CAFT Chairman Remi Pell and CAFT Secretary-General Tomas Pokorny will be involved and the CAMTECH summit event will showcase fintech in the Kingdom ranging from real estate to agriculture. Cambodia Fintech Association Some of the categories listed in the online video include Blockchain, Digital assets, Crowdfunding, VR, AI, Healthtech, Crypto and more. CAFT announced online: "Cambodia again this year is one of the World Fintech Festival’s Partner City on November 08-12 and there’s more... it will feature 4 key Cambodian Cities to bring together multiple industries with overarching fintech, finance and tech theme and how each of those function together." In September 2021, CAFT released a more official PR, saying: "CamTech Summit is happening! CAFT in support of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and Cambodian Microfinance Association (CMA) will be hosting this event which will feature 4 key Cambodian Cities to bring together multiple industries with overarching fintech, finance and tech theme and how each of those function together." The four cities are listed as:
  • Siem Reap: Tourism and Tech
  • Sihanoukville: Real Estate and Tech
  • Battambang: Agriculture Tech & Trade
  • Phnom Penh: Finance and Tech
