CAMGSM PLC., commercially known as ‘Cellcard’, a leading homegrown mobile operator in Cambodia, has released its first quarterly report for 2024, detailing the company's financial results for the period ending March 31, 2024.

According to a press release issued by Cellcard, the company's Q1 Report for the Financial Year 2024 highlights a significant surge in profits compared to the same quarter in the previous year, showcasing the company's robust financial standing and operational success.

Key highlights of the Q1-2024 financial performance include after-tax profits, rising by 25 billion riel, signifying an impressive 66 per cent growth compared to Q1-2023. Similarly, Cellcard reported a total comprehensive income surge of 32 billion riel, demonstrating a 123 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Driving Digital Transformation In Cambodia

In alignment with the Cambodian government's vision, and in support of the pentagonal strategy, Cellcard actively participated in several significant events in Q1 2024, including the Digital Government Forum 2024, organised by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC). The event gathered experts to discuss new trends in digital technologies and the acceleration of digital transformation.

Another event the company participated in was the 2nd National Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) Day, organised by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI). The event, targeting predominantly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provided a platform for Cellcard to showcase its commitment to innovation and technological advancement.

According to Cellcard, the telecommunication company's recent enhancements in network infrastructure have led to significant improvements in coverage, internet speeds, and overall customer experience. With the deployment of additional sites across ten provinces and the implementation of IBS and Microcells solutions, Cellcard customers can enjoy faster and more reliable connectivity for their day-to-day activities.
