Jalat Logistics, the Phnom Penh-based logistic startup which focuses on first and last-mile delivery, secured funding and a first entry into the Cambodian startup market by Singaporean Satori Giants who are joined by Hong Kong-based co-investor X Venture Holdings in completing their seed round investment.

Jalat Logistics was founded in 2021 and aims to “provide the most affordable same-day delivery price in Phnom Penh and end-to-end convenience for both parcel senders and recipient.” The investment should continue the start-up's long-term growth via vertical expansion of its services, scaling its warehouse operations and preparing the company for international expansion. The startup utilises AI and mobile warehousing for efficiency.

The actual amount of the investment was not disclosed, but is said to be a “seven-figure valuation round.” Previously Jalat Logistics was a Khmer Enterprise (KE) beneficiary receiving support from Angkor 500 Global in 2020, they won first place in ASEAN-Korea Startup Week in 2021, and benefited from the KE Startup Award Program and Japan ASEAN Business Matching Fair 2024.

Jilat Logistics Founder, Lilay Ung took to LinkedIn to say, “I'm incredibly excited to announce that we have secured investment for our seed round with Satori Giants and X Venture Holdings. CEO of Satori Giants, Riz Aslam, said “Jalat is a great example of an innovative business tackling a traditional sector to propel it into the 21st century. By making use of advanced technology to streamline same-day deliveries, Jalat is also lowering the cost per delivery and reducing the environmental footprint associated with logistics."

The seed funding investment in Jalat Logistics is their fourth investment in the Southeast Asia region and the second in Cambodia.

He added, "..In Jalat’s case, their all-in-one logistics management portal has the potential to become a leading logistics solution infrastructure not just in Cambodia, but around the region. Additionally, we also believe Jalat’s commitment towards operational excellence through its innovative mobile warehouse concept will further strengthen its ambitions to scale and expand quickly.”
