Cambodia’s primary public-private dialogue mechanism, the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), has successfully reviewed, discussed, and resolved more than 4,000 issues affecting the nation’s private sector over the last 25 years, the President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce announced on Thursday.

Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, made the remarks during a seminar held to present a progress report on reforms adopted at the 19th G-PSF, coinciding with the forum’s 25th anniversary celebration on 27 November.

Neak Oknha Kith Meng highlighted the G-PSF mechanism’s role in driving substantive and wide-ranging reforms, particularly across key economic areas including customs and taxation, trade facilitation, logistics, development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and investment policy.

“These achievements demonstrate that when the Royal Government and the private sector work closely together, Cambodia can deliver tangible and lasting results,” he stated.

He characterised the G-PSF as a unique and innovative platform that has become one of Cambodia’s most successful models of public-private partnership. The forum fosters structured dialogue, mutual trust, and practical problem-solving.

“Today’s gathering is both a celebration of 25 years of progress and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to building a resilient and increasingly robust Cambodian economy,” he added.

The seminar, according to the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, featured two primary presentations:

  • G-PSF Working Group Outcomes: Oknha Dr. Tan Monivann, Vice President of the  Chamber and Vice Chairman of the G-PSF, delivered an update on the activities and outcomes of the forum’s private-sector working groups.
  • Reform Implementation Progress: H.E. Nut Unvonra, Deputy Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and Head of the G-PSF Secretariat, presented a progress report on the implementation of the “sharp and targeted” reform measures adopted during the 19th G-PSF for the first half of 2025.

The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session for participants.

Established 25 years ago, the G-PSF serves as an open, full-cabinet platform, playing a critical role in strengthening a culture of dialogue and mutual confidence. It enables the private sector to directly raise critical concerns and challenges for government consideration, intervention, and resolution.
