A delegation of 25 Cambodian businesses has joined Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025, Indonesia’s largest trade show, which is being held in Tangerang, Indonesia, from October 15–19, 2025.

Now celebrating its 40th edition, Trade Expo Indonesia is annually organised by the Government of Indonesia and features over 1,000 exhibitors from various sectors. The event showcases Indonesia’s best export products—from food and beverages to furniture, textiles, and digital innovations—attracting thousands of buyers and investors from around the world. This year’s TEI seeks to attract more than 30,000 visitors and 8,000 registered buyers from over 130 countries.

The Cambodian business delegation, facilitated and led by the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Dr Santo Darmosumarto, represents Cambodia’s growing interest in expanding trade and investment cooperation with Indonesia. The Ambassador highlighted that Cambodia’s participation comes at a perfect time, as demand for Indonesian products in Cambodia has been steadily rising in recent months.

“The presence of Cambodian businesses at this year’s expo reflects our shared commitment to deepening economic ties and creating more opportunities for both sides,” said the Indonesian Ambassador. “We are confident this collaboration will further boost more balanced bilateral trade and open new pathways for partnership.”

The Cambodian participants come from diverse industries, including consumer goods, food and beverages, construction materials, and services. Throughout the five-day event, they will engage in business-matching sessions, explore potential partnerships, and experience firsthand the quality and innovation of Indonesian products. In light of Cambodia’s rising demand for imported dairy products, the Embassy will also facilitate a site visit to a milk processing facility in Bogor, West Java.

In the last two years, Indonesia and Cambodia enjoyed strong trade relations. In 2023 and 2024, the trade volume of the two countries surpassed USD 1 billion. Currently, Indonesia is the 10th largest trade partner of Cambodia, with trade volume between January and August marked at USD 704.3 million. Amidst recent global and regional challenges, Indonesia saw growing demands from Cambodia, especially on fast moving consumer goods.

In addition to joining the Expo, the Cambodian delegation will also participate in Indonesia-Mekong Basin Connect, a forum on cooperation and investment in the Mekong Basin subregion, with a particular focus on renewable energy development. The forum aims to strengthen regional collaboration and identify new areas for sustainable investment between Indonesia and the subregion's countries.
