Starting July 1, 2025, Cambodia will implement a new v-Pass (Visitor Pass) system, replacing traditional inked immigration stamps and QR code stickers for foreign travelers entering and exiting the country.

According to an announcement issued on June 30, 2025, by the General Department of Immigration under the Ministry of Interior, the new system aligns with the implementation of the Cambodian government’s Digital Economy and Society Policy and Pentagonal Strategy - Phase 1.

The v-Pass system will be applied at all international airports and seaports. Foreign travelers will be able to access their Visitor Pass through the following channels:

How to Use Cambodia v-Pass for Foreign Travelers

Entering the Country

  1. Present your passport at immigration.
  2. The immigration officer will process your entry.
  3. Instead of receiving a physical stamp, you will receive a v-Pass via email.
  4. Keep this v-Pass accessible during your stay.

During Your Stay

  • You may be asked to show your v-Pass for verification purposes.
  • You can display it on your mobile device or print it out.
  • Always respect the duration of stay indicated on your v-Pass.

Departing the Country

  1. Present your passport at departure immigration.
  2. Your departure will be recorded in the system.
  3. No physical exit stamp is needed.

The General Department of Immigration encourages all travelers to familiarise themselves with the new process ahead of their arrival or departure.
