Cambodia has officially announced its 5G rollout plan, with services expected to begin in 2026. The announcement was made by H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, alongside representatives of the country’s three major telecom operators—Cellcard, Smart Axiata, and Metfone.

The rollout plan was officially unveiled at the Digital Government Forum (DGF) 2025, which was presided over by H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Deputy Prime Minister  and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers.

H.E. Chea Vandeth confirmed that the 5G rollout plan will kick off in January 2026, adding that the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) will work with relevant government bodies to prepare the necessary infrastructure and networks.
