Cambodia Angkor Air Appoints Aeroprime Group As Indian GSSA

With direct Cambodia-India flights available for the first time in June 2024, Cambodia Angkor Air has announced the appointment of Aeroprime Group as its exclusive cargo general sales and service agent (GSSA) for India.

The number of flights connecting the Kingdom to the most populous country in the world generated a lot of momentum at the start of 2024 but had been discussed for some years. In 2024, flights between New Delhi and Phnom Penh were finally confirmed to be operated by Cambodia Angkor Air and will launch on June 16, 2024.

The national airline will operate four weekly flights from Delhi to Phnom Penh (PNH) utilising an A320 aircraft.

By the end of February 2024, there were 168 international flights per day to Cambodian airports but more air routes have been confirmed for this calendar year and flights between India and Cambodia are hoped to boost tourism and other economic activities so increased logistics avenues make sense.

According to the General Department of Customs and Excise, bilateral trade between the Kingdom and India reached nearly USD $485 million in 2023.
