US Announces 19% Tariffs on Cambodia and Thailand

The US has set a 19 per cent tariff for both Cambodia and Thailand, down from the previously proposed 36 per cent. Malaysia is also set at 19 per cent, while Laos and Myanmar will face a higher rate of 40 per cent.
Earlier in July 2025, the United States reached trade agreements with Vietnam and Indonesia, setting tariffs at 20 per cent for Vietnam and 19 per cent for Indonesia.
The United States will raise tariffs on dozens of countries, effective at 12:01 a.m. on August 7, under an executive order signed by President Trump on Thursday (July 31, 2025).
