AUPP Launches the PGCE (International) Program for International Schools in Cambodia
The American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) has announced the launch of its new 250-hour Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (International) program designed to elevate teaching and foster global educational excellence.
Endorsed, jointly delivered, and assessed in partnership with Fort Hays State University (FHSU), this innovative program marks a significant milestone in AUPP’s commitment to professional development for international schools in Cambodia and the wider ASEAN region.
The PGCE (International) is tailored for international school educators seeking to deepen their pedagogical knowledge, develop inclusive teaching practices, and prepare for diverse international teaching environments.
The program includes four taught courses:
- Foundations of International Education
- Effective Teaching Strategies
- Curriculum Planning & Evaluation
- Learners, Diversity & Inclusion and a practicum of lesson observations in teachers’ schools.
The blended program format includes face-to-face seminars and synchronous online sessions, enabling teachers to apply their learning directly in their own classrooms in a reflective manner.

This program aims to equip educators with research-informed pedagogical skills, foster intercultural understanding, and enhance career mobility with internationally recognised credentials. The partnership with FHSU ensures that students receive a high-quality, globally relevant education that aligns with international standards.
