Apas Port Launches $20M Vehicle Loan Initiative Via Crypto Lending Platform HARVEST FLOW To Empower Financial Inclusion in Cambodia

Apas Port Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based Web3 company has announced the launch of its product HARVEST FLOW, a social impact-driven cryptocurrency lending platform in Cambodia operating on Plume Network. which intends to provide affordable loans to TukTuk drivers in Cambodia.

The on-chain social impact-driven platform launched its inaugural US $20M loan initiative on Plume and the latter said, “We're proud to partner with HARVEST FLOW to bring their social impact vision to life through our end-to-end tokenisation and seamless RWA (Real World Asset) infrastructure.”

Apas Port has in the past has released multiple NFT projects and they claim to have extensive Web2 and Web3 strategic content planning, creative production, and global reach through their networks and partnerships. The Japanese company specialises in expanding blockchain technology building a community with the next generation of user experience.

Starting with the vehicle mobility sector through 2025, HARVEST FLOW plans to expand into other sectors addressing social challenges and needs beyond 2026. Part of their goals are to be committed to "social action" and to deliver“ stable returns alongside meaningful social impact. 

HARVEST FLOW's inaugural project offers loans to TukTuk and four-wheel vehicle drivers in Cambodia who don't have access to the financial system. "This venture is set to operate on Plume Network, the leading Layer 1 blockchain specialised in Real-World Asset Finance (RWAfi), offering the necessary infrastructure to transform HARVEST FLOW's vision of financial inclusion into scalable action.” said a press release issued on December 24 2024.

They say that in Phnom Penh alone, there are approximately 12,000 tuk-tuks, accounting for about 20 per cent of the city's transportation.

According to HARVEST FLOW, the inaugural project RWA-001 which involves crypto asset lending to a company that operates a tuk-tuk loan business in Cambodia was launched in August 2024 and had already sold out.

HARVEST FLOW aims to empower “underserved communities and small businesses by granting access to affordable financing solutions” by leveraging blockchain technology.

In Cambodia, the initial focus of this initiative is to "provide affordable financing options for TukTuk and four-wheel vehicle drivers in Cambodia—vital tools for local livelihoods. Their projects are uniquely supported by embedded IoT technology within TukTuk engines"." which they say will ensure a low loan default rate while building investor confidence.
