ACLEDA Bank and Daikin Air Conditioning (Cambodia) Sign MOU on Using Digital Services for Buy Now Pay Later
On Thursday morning, March 13, 2025, ACLEDA Bank Plc (“ACLEDA Bank”) officially announced that Daikin Air Conditioning (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (“Daikin”), an international air conditioner importer from Japan, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ACLEDA Bank, the first listed commercial bank in Cambodia, regarding the use of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) digital credit services.
This partnership will allow customers and the public to purchase goods or services and make payments later through the AC Super App.
Mrs. Sok Sophea, Group Chief Operations Officer of ACLEDA Bank, stated, “ACLEDA Bank is pleased to partner with Daikin to offer BNPL credit services. This MOU signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in our collaboration. The Buy Now Pay Later service is designed to provide our customers with a flexible financing option, allowing them to purchase goods and services via the AC Super App instantly. The system will automatically approve the loan, enabling customers to receive the goods and make repayments to the bank later.”

With this service, customers can enjoy the comfort of new air conditioning systems of high quality, imported from Japan, without the burden of a one-time full payment, and experience a simple payment process through the AC Super App.
She added that the partnership aims to enhance customer accessibility to air conditioning products, enabling consumers to reap immediate benefits while managing their payments over time. Customers can make payments via the ACLEDA Bank QR Code, POS, and all Bakong member apps, as well as using all ACLEDA Cards, CSS Cards, and all types of international credit and debit cards.
