This is a B2B Cambodia Market Update for 30 April 2024, reviewing the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) and global markets.

- The Cambodia Securities Index (CSX) broke a 3 days losing streak and rose 2.07 points to 410.39 or 0.5 per cent.
- Trading Volume was light at 405,943 shares changing hands at a trading value of just USD $361,000.
- Today’s market mover and percent gain winner was Mengly J. Quach Education Plc. up 110 Riel per Share, or 5 per cent, to 2,200 riel per share. Taking the trading volume crown from ACLEDA Bank Plc., the stock represented 51 per cent of the trading volume on the exchange and 30 per cent of the trading value. There was no news published on the stock to warrant the move.
- On the downside, PESTECH (Cambodoa) fell steeply again, down 5.75 per cent, or 130 riel per share to 2,130 riel per share.
- In its last disclosure report for the second quarter 2024, Pestech (Cambodia) reported total revenue of KHR 6,451 million, representing a decrease of 66.2 per cent as compared to the preceding year corresponding quarter. Lower revenue in the current quarter under review was mainly due to the completion of East Siem Reap project in March 2023 and lower project progress as compared to preceding year corresponding quarter. Total equity is KHR 63,076 million representing a decrease of 31 per cent as compared to the financial year ended 30 June 2023. Investors are rattled by the financial results for this company.
- In market news. The Cambodia Securities Exchanged honored ACLEDA SECURITIES PLC with the Best Broker Award winner for Quarter 1, 2024. ACLEDA SECURITIES represents 93 per cent of traded volume in the Cambodia Securities market. The award is well deserved
- KHR Riel to USD exchange rate continues to slowly weaken at 4066, on a slightly stronger USD Index trading at 105.68.
- Brent Crude Oil slightly up at USD $87.46 a barrel
- Gold weaked and is down USD $30 to USD $2,328 an ounce.
- New York pointing to a slight drop with the Dow Futures down 22 points.
- Marin Software up 21 per cent on launch of its AI software to unlock growth performance campaigns.
