Address. Phnom Penh
Join us for a celebration of the life and poetry of the beloved Scottish bard, Robert Burns. A supper of the infamous haggis, neeps and tatties along with all the essentials of traditional verse, music, dancing and that most key element – whisky galore!
Last year, our friends LittleKitchen-Cooking for Change introduced Burns to Phnom Penh with an outstanding sell-out event. This year we elevate the evening as the inaugural event of the Scotland Cambodia Alliance to a formal charity ball at the Le Grand Palais Boutique Hotel & Phkar Romyool Restaurant FanClub on Saturday 24th January, the day before the poet’s birthday.
A traditional three-course set menu prepared by a true Scottish chef will be served, along with free-flow wine and Famous Grouse whisky during the meal. A master of ceremonies will guide us through the evening, along with guest recitals of the humourous and irreverent poetry of Robert Burns including of course the “Address to a Haggis”. After dinner, the party will continue in the bar upstairs to the rousing music of the Kheltica and ceilidh dancing.
